01 / The problem

When two companies split the job, nobody owns the leak.

A solar company sells you an array. A roofer sells you a roof. Neither one signs for the other trade. Two years later there is water in the bedroom ceiling and both of them point at the other guy.

We hold the roofing license and do the solar. Same crew, same schedule, same warranty paper. When something is wrong you call one number, and the person who answers was standing on the roof.

What solar actually costs in New Jersey in 2026.

The federal residential solar tax credit expired on December 31, 2025. Systems placed in service in 2026 do not qualify for it. Most sales scripts in this state have not caught up.

If a salesperson quotes you a 30% federal credit on a 2026 installation, end the meeting.

What New Jersey still pays, as of August 2026
SuSI incentive (ADI)
$77 / MWh
Paid on generation for 15 years. Rate locked at registration. Was $85 for registrations before July 27, 2026.
Net metering
Full retail
Exported kilowatt-hours credit against what you buy back.
Sales tax on equipment
100% exempt
The 6.625% state sales tax does not apply to solar equipment.
Property tax on added value
100% exempt
Your assessment does not rise because you installed panels.
Federal 25D credit
Expired
Terminated for expenditures after December 31, 2025. Zero for 2026 installations.
NJ average retail rate
23.2¢ / kWh
Roughly 30% above the national average, which is the actual reason the math works here.

We build your model from twelve months of your own utility bills and put the payback year in writing. If it does not clear ten years, we tell you to wait.

Juan Gallego on a job site
Juan to camera — why he started the company

Juan Gallego is on your roof, not in a call center.

He started Advisor Solar in 2020 after watching how the industry actually treats homeowners: a hard close, a subcontracted crew nobody vetted, and a phone number that stops working after the panels are up.

Advisor Solar is family-owned and family-run. The people who answer the phone and the people on your roof are the same small group, and they live in the same towns you do. There is no national brand above us and no call center in another state.

We get the same utility bill you get. We have had a roof fail at the wrong time of year, watched an assessment climb, and had a quote come back over the estimate. That is why the proposal we hand you has the payback year written on it, and why we will tell you to wait when waiting is the right call.

Six years and more than two thousand installations later, Juan still walks every job. Read the reviews below. Almost all of them mention him by name, which is either the whole business model or a very long coincidence.

The standard, on every job
01
The owner walks the job every day it is open.
02
Site swept and magnet-rolled before the crew leaves, every day.
03
Written schedule before the first delivery lands in your driveway.
04
Permits, inspections, and utility interconnection filed by us.
05
One contract and one schedule of values for roof and solar together.
06
Written workmanship warranty on both trades, plus manufacturer coverage.

Watch a job actually happen.

Anyone can photograph a finished roof. The part worth watching is the middle: the deck open, the array palletized on the lawn, the crew putting it all back before the weather turns.
