Advisor Solar holds the New Jersey home improvement contractor license and does the solar work. Advisor Exteriors is our own division for gutters and siding. Nothing here is brokered to a stranger.
Roof replacement
Full tear-off to the deck. We look at what is under the old shingles before we quote the new ones, because rotted sheathing found on day two is how a fixed price stops being fixed.
If solar is coming, we plan the layout now: penetrations, ventilation, and flashing placed for the array that does not exist yet.
Solar installation
We size the system from twelve months of your actual utility statements. Not a satellite guess, not a regional average, not whatever number makes the monthly payment look good on a tablet in your kitchen.
Township permitting, inspections, SuSI registration, and utility interconnection are filed by us. You sign things. We chase things.
Detach and reset
Your roof needs replacing and there are twenty-eight panels bolted to it. Your solar company does not do roofs. Your roofer will not touch the array. This is the call we get most.
Panels come down and get labeled. Roof gets replaced. Array goes back on new flashing, gets recommissioned, and we verify production against the pre-removal baseline before we pull off the street.
Battery and EV charging
Grid-tied solar shuts off in an outage. That is a safety requirement, not a defect. If you want the lights on during a nor easter, you need storage.
We size it against the loads you actually care about: well pump, fridge, boiler controls, one home office. Not the whole house, which is how people end up with three batteries they did not need.
Gutters, guards, siding
A new roof sheds more water faster. Undersized gutters turn that into a foundation problem. If yours are twenty years old, do it while the staging is already up and the dumpster is already in the driveway.
